4 tattoos I’m going to get just cause I like it
“Our bodies were printed as blank pages to be filled with the ink of our hearts”
― Michael Biondi
Perhaps getting a tattoo has become commonplace by now. Even for SOME Asian parents, imprinting a tattoo can be pretty cool (or at least that’s what my parents think, or maybe some households don’t even bother to care).
I could be wrong. That could be very subjective of me to say. But, today, I’m here to share MY THOUGHTS on tattoos, not your parents’ or neighbors'.
In this blog, I’m going to share with you why tattoos are the embodiments of one’s own personal flavours; showing How I “TRY” a tattoo before actually getting one. And this could also give you some ideas on where to actually place your tattoo.
“ TATTOOS ARE THE EMBODIMENTS OF ONE’S OWN PERSONAL FLAVOURS ✿ ” — Bui, M.T.
In case these fancy words confuse you, what I mean is that tattoos are permanent. You want to get something that is meaningful or that represents your personality, and your liking because it is going to stay there for the rest of your life. (Unless you have it removed due to that one moment of stupidity) Therefore, you want the best representatives.
1.Tattoos help present your value, what you believe in, and who you are as a person,… It can be anything. It is personal, yet very notable.
DISCLAIMER: THE MODEL IN THESE PHOTOS IS BESTDRESSED aka ASHLEY ON YOUTUBE — I just like her style so much that I borrow her pictures for tattoo placement tryout :D
TATTOO #1
This tattoo here is actually a Japanese word for ‘Family’. I chose this word because, OBVIOUSLY, Family is everything to me. My parents and my sister, even my cat, or my future family,… I will forever put them on top. That’s why this one will go into my Tattoo list without a doubt.
✿ Placement: I chose the back of my arm to emphasize that no matter what happens in life, there will always be my family who has my back and stands behind to support me. (TOOOO DEEEEP but yeah)
TATTOO #2
The 2nd one I chose is a chubby cat living her best life holding a ‘smol’ camera. Okay, I have nothing to say but the fact I’m THAT CRAZY CAT LADY living next to your door and love documenting memories on camera.
It’s a win-win situation.
✿ Placement: It is put in the front, center of the arm because this is what I like and I want people to know. Cats and filming.
2. A tattoo can help distinguish yourself from others. Everyone has their own unique features, but that one tattoo can help make you stand out.
By standing out doesn’t mean you’re noticed by people, by standing out means that you’re unique, that you’re confident about expressing yourself #selflove even if they’re just silly things.
She had a flower tattoo on her wrist; “What does that mean?” he asked her. “Absolutely nothing,” she said, “it’s just a flower.

TATTOO #3
LOBSTER. Yes, sounds weird, having a permanent lobster that could potentially be mistaken as a prawn.
This can be justified by a statement that ‘I like seafood’. My family isn’t that wealthy enough to feed me lobster every day; lobster is a kind of food that only happens when we are invited to dine in a restaurant or when CORONA VIRUS happens and the price of lobsters decreases. So it reminds me to work hard, earn lots of money so you can eat lobster comfortably.
✿ Placement: Near the wrist, small but fierce.
TATTOO #4
Last but will not be least, H O L Y C R A B!
Cmon, you have to admit that this tiny little crab is adorable. Plus, I’m also a Cancer (The crab represents Cancer) so what a coincidence. But overall, it gives me a sense of “I’m cute and nice but I can also cut you in pieces at the same time” vibe so I’m loving it. It’s my mood all the time!!
✿ Placement: Forearm — It’s like ‘You wanna show but then you wanna hide’ if that makes sense.
Phew, this is such a long blog. But I hope you like it just as much as I enjoy writing and creating it ✿
